A white hooded sweatshirt from Jun Takahashi’s Spring/Summer 2016 Undercover collection, “The Greatest.” Constructed from heavyweight sweatshirt jersey, the piece features an elaborate modular build with zippered seams allowing the hood and sleeves to be detached from the body. Additional details include a quarter-zip neckline, drawstring hood, vertical welt pockets, ribbed cuffs and hem, and exposed zipper construction extending around the shoulders and neckline. Across the chest is the phrase “A boy’s best friend is his mother,” accompanied by a bird illustration and “Lesson 9 ‘EXCHANGE’” text. The quote is spoken by Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960).
